My name is Deanne Taylor.<\/p>\n

I’m a computational biologist by interest,\u00a0 a bioinformaticist by trade, a physicist by training, and a “staffademic” by employment. I spend a good deal of time on the design and implementation of translational informatics systems with clinical information and high-dimensional biomedical data analysis results from next-gen sequencing, microarray, PCR, and proteomics experiments. For my own research interests, I am developing mathematical and computational methods to better understand biological variation and the genetic contribution to disease. I am an assistant professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University, and the Director of the Bioinformatics Group in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the Children’s Hopsital of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

I also occasionally teach an online course in Computational Systems Biology at Brandeis University.<\/p>\n
